How Long Does It Take to Clear a Blocked Drain?

There are several different factors that can affect the length of time our engineers will need to unblock your drains. The two biggest factors include the size, complexity, and ease of access to your drains and the level of blockage you're facing. Generally speaking, though, it shouldn't take our engineers more than 1 to 2 hours to unblock your drains and bring them back to normal.

Who Is Responsible for Blocked Drains?

If you are the owner of the property, you are responsible for your property's drainage system, regardless of who caused the blockage. The best way to tell if you or the council are responsible for the blocked drains is to see exactly where the blocked drains are located.

If they are on your property, then you are the one that needs to deal with the issue. Alternatively, if the drain blockage is outside of your property, then it's either the council or the owner of the area where the blockage has occurred that's responsible.
